RNC Spox, Ben & Jerry’s in Bernie Sanders-Based Twitter Dispute
It’s like every 1980s college movie ever made: the mean preppy guy pushing around the hapless but good-hearted hero.
But this time it’s on Twitter and over a presidential candidate. RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer poked at Ben & Jerry’s Tuesday night for supplying ice cream for a Bernie Sanders campaign event:
so @BernieSanders rallies against corporations but has no problem taking @benandjerrys free handouts at kickoff

The company responded that the former owners of the company had supplied the desserts, not the ice cream company:
@seanspicer Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield (citizens) donated the ice cream. We have similar values as the Senator, but are non-partisan.

.@benandjerrys great. There are still laws. One is you can't donate without reporting it to the Federal Election Commission

Perhaps the gentlemen did file with the FEC. Either way, this seems like a great use of both time and Twitter.
