Robert Gibbs Thinks Robert Gibbs Is Doing A Great Job!
Robert Gibbs thinks Robert Gibbs is doing great. During the press briefing today ABC Radio’s Ann Compton asked Gibbs whether, following Sunday’s report of his meeting with White House Press Corps representatives to smooth over tense relations, he planned to makes changes with the way he, or the White House, dealt with the press, and whether he, himself, is “unhappy with the way he deals with the press.” The answer is no. Gibbs is not unhappy with the way he deals with the press.
Gibbs elaborated saying that he felt that some “good suggestions” had come out of the “cordial” “productive” “courteous” meeting, which he hopes will be incorporated. He also noted that “this is the most transparent administration in the history of our country” (I think you can hear a few snickers in the background if you listen closely.) To which Compton responded: “to the general public.” Meaning, I assume, that Twitter and YouTube does not a transparent government make! Also, Gibbs would like the press corps to remember the current administration is nowhere near as bad as Bush’s! Video below.
