Ever since he joined Twitter at the start of the year, Rupert Murdoch has not been shy about what he really thinks about the big issues. He tweeted earlier today his opinion that Scientology is a “very weird cult,” but the media mogul also took to commenting on what he thinks Mitt Romney needs to do in order to beat President Obama in November: get rid of the “old friends” on his campaign staff and replace them with “real pros.”
Murdoch said that he met with Romney last week, and his conclusion thus far is that President Obama’s “Chicago pros will be hard to beat unless he drops old friends from team and hires some real pros.”
He followed it up this morning with another tweet that said quite bluntly, “US election is referendum on Obama, all else pretty minor.”
The full Romney tweet is below.
