Sarah Sanders Touts WaPo Dossier Report Hours After Dismissing WaPo as Reputable Source

During Tuesday’s White House press briefing, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took a shot at the Washington Post when it was brought up by a reporter during the course of a question about Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN). When Sanders was told about WaPo’s fact check on a Corker vote that’s been mischaracterized by President Donald Trump, Sanders dismissed the paper.
“And as I’ve said many times before, I wouldn’t use the Washington Post as my source,” she said.
Fast forward a few hours, and Sanders has suddenly changed her tune. This evening, the Post came out with a report that the notorious Russia/Trump dossier compiled by former spy Christopher Steele was funded in part by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
And shortly after the story was published, Sanders hyped up the story on Twitter.
The real Russia scandal? Clinton campaign paid for the fake Russia dossier, then lied about it & covered it up. https://t.co/kR8z2zsZ7Q
