Sean Spicer Unveils Wax FLOTUS at Madame Tussauds, Dishes on Trump’s Marriage

On Wednesday, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer was on hand to unveil a new life-size wax replica of first lady Melania Trump at Madame Tussauds in New York City.

He also found himself once again fielding questions from the press.

Prior to the unveiling, Madame Tussauds sent out a media advisory warning in all-red type that while there would be a Q&aA: “This event will not permit questions from media.”

The media did not abide.

At one point during the brief event, the questions turned to the Trump’s marriage, which has been widely reported in the press to be icy and distant.

“I’m sure they have their moments like any couple does,” Spicer said diplomatically surrounded by the wax Trumps, according to Politico.

A reporter then shouted a question about if Melania ever appeared angry.

“Not that I ever saw,” Spicer continued on. “She was always supportive in public and in private.”

He then added: “I think that there’s a genuine love and concern, and that’s the most important part.”

A wax President Donald Trump was already on display at the museum prior to the addition of Melania, who will now stand next to him in an Oval Office set available for paying guests.

In a novel interactive feature, museum-goers will also be able to tweet on wax Mrs. Trump’s behalf via a dedicated account.

Spicer told the Daily Mail he thought the faux FLOTUS tweets were a good idea.

“Mrs. Trump has been an outstanding First Lady and this is fun way of allowing visitors to the exhibit [to] interact,” Spicer said prior to the event.
