Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton Hospitalized With Blood Clot From ‘Diplomatic’ Concussion
Just two weeks after a raft of Republican figures questioned the authenticity of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s concussion, which sidelined her from the congressional hearings on Benghazi, The Associated Press is reporting that Sec. Clinton has been hospitalized due to a blood clot that arose from that injury. Clinton sustained a concussion on Dec. 15 when she fainted, due to dehydration stemming from a stomach virus. According to The AP, the Secretatry’s doctor discovered the clot during a follow-up exam:
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has been admitted to a New York hospital after the discovery of a blood clot stemming from the concussion she sustained earlier this month.
Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines says her doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up exam Sunday. Reines says Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants.
Clinton was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital so doctors can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours.
Here’s video of the initial reports on Secretary Clinton’s hospitalization, from Fox News and CNN:
