On Thursday night, Seth Meyers blasted President Donald Trump for rejecting the death toll that followed Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico last year.
Meyers began by mocking Trump’s latest efforts to “convince people that he’s competent” but quickly took aim at the “deranged” president for his tweet casting doubt on the official death toll out of Puerto Rico.
3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000…

…..This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list. Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!

“That’s the official death toll, you lunatic!” Meyers reacted. “Now we know why he’s so orange, his brain is just melted pumpkin guts. We don’t need a book. We don’t need an anonymous op-ed to tell us that the president is a narcissist who peddles one conspiracy theory after another. He said the first black president wasn’t born here, said 3,000,000 voted illegally, said Muslims celebrated on 9/11, and thinks he could get superpowers from staring directly at the sun.”
