Skip Bayless Apparently Doesn’t Know Who Paul Ryan Is

Even the most ardent critic of Skip Bayless would admit that the Fox Sports 1 broadcaster has at least a modicum of sports knowledge. That much is, well, undisputed.

But his political knowledge? That is now very much up for debate after a glaring on air faux pas.

During a discussion about Bayless wavering on his longtime support of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on Tuesday’s edition of Undisputed, co-host Shannon Sharpe accused Bayless of being a traitor like Paul Ryan.

In response, Bayless said, “Who?”

Paul Ryan. You know, 2012 vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan. Current Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. Prominent republican party figure Paul Ryan.

“Oh, okay,” Bayless said sheepishly. “I’m not that into politics. Sorry. You lost me on that one.”

Credit to Sharpe for being magnanimous, and not dwelling on the point — which he very easily could’ve in the midst of a heated argument.
