Star Wars’ Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) to Rogue One‘s Alan Tudyk (K-2SO): ‘F*ck You’
Star Wars’ Anthony Daniels had some harsh words for Rogue One‘s Alan Tudyk– you know, Droid to Droid. Daniels played C-3PO in Star Wars, and Tudyk played K-2SO in Rogue One, but thanks to modern technology, their jobs couldn’t have been more different.
Tudyk appeared on Conan recently and discussed a conversation he had with Daniels. He said, “Anthony Daniels went on about the suit that he had to wear and that ‘originally they put screws in my head and they closed it’ and he had to be on this thing. And he said, ‘Wait a minute. are you wearing an actual robot costume, or are they doing it in motion capture?'”
When Tudyk said that they would in fact be using motion capture, Daniels said, “You sh*t.”
At the premiere, the two saw each other again, and Tudyk said he asked Daniels for notes after the movie. When they met at the after party, Daniels walked over to him and said “F*ck you.”
It’s all in good fun, though. Tudyk said, “That’s one of the best compliments I got!”
