This Guy’s Flop Was So Comically Bad it Deserves a Razzie
Basketball fans have grown accustomed to seeing players flop in an effort to draw a foul call. But this guy took the unfortunate practice to a whole new level.
In the second half of Thursday night’s game between Utah and Oregon, Dillon Brooks of Oregon was defending a Utah player when there was a bit of contact. He then dramatically fell backward in an effort to convince the referee that it should be an offensive foul.
Only, he took the fall well after the contact occurred, and the Utah player was nowhere near him. (We cannot stress this point enough: The Utah player was nowhere near Brooks.)
It’s too bad the Razzie nominations were announced earlier this week. Brooks would have been a mortal lock.
