Thousands of Lois Lerner’s Emails Have Reportedly Been Recovered

The Senate Finance Commitee announced today that the Treasury Inspector General has managed to recover thousands of Lois Lerner emails that were previously believed unrecoverable. A report by The Washington Examiner puts the number at about 30,000 emails.

The committee posted on its website that the IRS has recovered “forensic data” which “may include emails to and/or from Lois Lerner which could be material to the investigation.”

The last batch of Lerner emails that the House Ways and Means Committee released included a line in which the former IRS official referred to “a-holes” in the conservative media.
