Tony Stewart Pulls out of NASCAR Race After Fatal Accident
After last night’s fatal accident at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park, in which NASCAR driver Tony Stewart struck and killed sprint car driver Kevin Ward Jr., Stewart’s team has announced that he will not race today:
BREAKING: Team: Tony Stewart will not race in NASCAR event Sunday after hitting driver in fatal crash
— The Associated Press (@AP) August 10, 2014
Officials say Stewart appeared “shaken” after the incident, which is not being investigated as a homicide.
Rebuttal:
They were going to let Stewart race which then allowed Stewart to be the one to say it's not right for him to race today.
