Top AFL-CIO Officials Step Down from Trump Manufacturing Council After Today’s Presser

Richard Trumka, the President of the AFL-CIO, announced after President Trump‘s presser today that both he and Thea Lee are stepping down from the White House American Manufacturing Council:
I cannot sit on a council for a President that tolerates bigotry and domestic terrorism; I resign, effective immediately. pic.twitter.com/ip6F2nsoog

Trumka’s announcement is the first since Trump’s presser, which was held after multiple CEOs announced they were stepping down from the council. Trump said earlier today they were “grandstanders.”
