Top House Intel Democrat Schiff Calls for Nunes to Recuse Himself from Russia Investigation

Congressman Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, is now calling on committee chair Devin Nunes to recuse himself “from any further involvement in the Russia investigation” and anything relating to what he disclosed last week about incidental collection of communications from Trump transition team members.
Schiff has repeatedly come out publicly to criticize Nunes’s actions surrounding his big statement last week, including how Nunes went to brief the White House before telling others on the committee.
Schiff’s statement tonight came shortly after Nunes was on CNN explaining why he was on White House grounds the day before his statement. He said he wasn’t “sneaking” around, and that he was on the grounds because this was information that came from the executive branch.
