‘Tragedy Spells Opportunity’: Twitter Rips Trump for ‘Politicizing’ London Terror Attacks

A lot of people on Twitter are furious that President Trump has decided so soon to use the violent incidents in Great Britain to score points for his political agenda.
London Bridge and Borough Market are still under lockdown as British police address the two violent acts of terror that took place on Saturday night. Trump tweeted his sympathies to the citizens of London, but not without talking about how the federal court system is blocking his executive orders for a “travel ban” from several Muslim-majority nations.
Trump’s tweets came within hours of the fatal attacks, and the Twitterverse was quite displeased. Many people blasted Trump for making an international tragedy about himself, or else, they were talking about how the president once again said that he wants a travel ban:
In a single tweet, Trump…
1) Confirms it is a ban (illegal)
2) Is politicizing an ongoing incident https://t.co/pgn4rZAqQF— Matt McDermott (@mattmfm) June 3, 2017
Trump continues to push unconstitutional travel ban. Meanwhile we have no:
1. FBI Director
2. FEMA Director https://t.co/LjCjVqmI8B

Very clever, Donald. I see what you did there. But it's still you, who threatens our rights, not the courts. https://t.co/VRzOMeSI4A

London is under attack and this asshat is whining about his Muslim ban.
Remind me how this guy is lesser of evils? https://t.co/O4hFSSrXSD

Serious question: would he rather Tweet or win? https://t.co/m7kKaC2waE

Given that you're hoping for things to go your way in court, calling it a "travel ban" is pretty fucking dumb. https://t.co/uSM8hocaQg

Nice of our closet ally to express his sympathy and support at a time like this. Instead he uses this to make a political point. Wanker. https://t.co/J9f0a34GlS

Attention Supreme Court–>Now he's calling it a travel ban again and giving you reason to uphold the lower courts' rulings.
What a dope. https://t.co/tjuw8BCFhs— Joe Scarborough (@JoeNBC) June 4, 2017
This piece of shit is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He's an embarrassment to humankind. https://t.co/Dl5tMQMhMO

Further proof you don't understand the world.
To the people of London, we apologize for this jackass and we stand with you side by side https://t.co/tJHFlndADg

Give back which rights? What are you talking about? https://t.co/mSExNUGfKv

President Trump sees US court system as suppressing "our rights" rather than safeguarding them https://t.co/qPBt4J9GUM

The extra level of safety we need is for you to be removed from office. You are a clear and present danger to this nation and its freedoms. https://t.co/ZbXnPFZOFz
