Trump and De Blasio Aides Feud on Twitter Over Who Will Foot Police Bill
Donald Trump and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio‘s communications teams clashed on Twitter over who would foot the bill for the police response to a suspicious package.
It all began when incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer penned a tweet that suggested he was frustrated at the NYPD after a false alarm required the evacuation of Trump Tower Tuesday.
Back to work here at Trump Tower after a false alarm. Thanks NYPD

But it was Bill de Blasio aide Eric Phillips who chose to respond, demanding that Trump foot the bill.
No problem. We’ll send you the bill. https://t.co/mxbUqzgHds

Trump social media director Dan Scavino soon shot back, calling Phillips “an embarrassment.”
Eric Phillips- Spokesperson for @NYCMayor @BilldeBlasio– you are an embarrassment to the @NYCMayorsOffice & the amazing #NYPD. https://t.co/kPX9go1gl4
