Trump Blasts HuffPost and AP Over Apprentice Articles: I Dropped NBC!
Donald Trump‘s position as the star of The Apprentice received new attention today when NBC declared that they would find a new host to take over the show. As reports broke that the presidential candidate’s show would go on without him, Trump took to Twitter to say that, despite whatever NBC president Bob Greenblatt would tell reporters, Trump left the network on his terms, and on good conditions:
People don’t understand that I left The Apprentice to run for Pres—the Apprentice DID NOT leave me. Bob Greenblatt & folks @NBC were GREAT!

As the story broke over the day, however, Trump took issue with how certain headlines were representing NBC’s move with the show. Several media outlets capitalized on the NBC giving Trump a taste of his own medicine, using leads such as Huffington Post’s and Associated Press’s shared headline. ‘NBC Officially Fires Trump From ‘Celebrity Apprentice‘
While other outlets have used similar headlines or ones of varying emphasis on Trump being “fired,” Trump accused Huffington Post and Associated Press of fraudulence, reminding them that he was the one who dumped NBC:
.@AP and @HuffingtonPost should change their fraudulent story to say THAT I DROPPED @NBC & The Apprentice to run for President!
