Trump: ‘I Would Absolutely Support’ Bush As The Republican Nominee

Republican front-runner Donald Trump has been locked in a battle with former Florida governor Jeb! Bush in recent weeks. However, Trump made some surprising comments Tuesday, telling Fox’s Sean Hannity, he “would absolutely support” Bush if his rival secures the Republican nomination.

The growing feud between Bush and Trump peaked last week, and Trump pointed out that the World Trade Center attacks occurred while Bush’s brother, George W. Bush, was president. That statement prompted a back-and-forth between the sparring rivals as Bush defended his brother’s legacy.

On Hannity, Trump acknowledged the feud, saying, “number one, I really respect the fact that Jeb is sticking up for his brother, I mean I would stick up for my brothers also,” Trump said.

Trump went on to say praise Bush for his character, before repeating that he would stand behind the candidate if elected. “He’s a good person. He’s a good man. I would support him,” Trump said.

All of the Republican candidates were asked to sign a loyalty pledge, agreeing to support the party nominee; Trump was the last candidate to agree to sign the pledge.
