Trump Labor Sec. Pick Tweets After CNN Report That He’s Having Second Thoughts
One of Donald Trump‘s Cabinet picks tweeted tonight shortly after CNN came out with a report saying he’s having second thoughts about being nominated.
According to CNN, CKE Restaurants CEO Andrew Puzder isn’t so sure anymore about being chosen as Labor Secretary:
President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to be labor secretary has voiced second thoughts in recent days, because of a relentless barrage of criticism from Democrats, labor unions and other liberal groups, a business ally and GOP sources tell CNN…
“He may be bailing,” said a Republican source plugged into the Trump transition effort. “He is not into the pounding he is taking, and the paperwork.”
Puzder has come under scrutiny––as have all of Trump’s Cabinet picks––for his views on the minimum wage and other important labor issues. A recent New York Times report takes a close look at his record and features critical comments from Carl’s Jr. employees.
After the CNN report went out, Puzder tweeted the following:
I am looking forward to my hearing.
