Trump Uses NYC Terror Attack to Slam Political Foe Chuck Schumer

As investigators continue to look into the terror attack in New York City last night, President Trump is getting on Twitter and firing away at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. He also seems to be getting his morning briefing on today’s events via Fox & Friends.

The terrorist came into our country through what is called the “Diversity Visa Lottery Program,” a Chuck Schumer beauty. I want merit based.

After last night’s truck attack left 8 dead and several more injured, the president took the opportunity to call for “extreme vetting.” Now it seems Trump is turning his ire towards the Diversity Visa Program, an immigration lottery system for people from countries who have fewer migrants in America than others.

The program was part of the Immigration Act of 1990 and was reportedly the brain child of NY Senator Chuck Schumer. Early reports indicate that the suspect is an Uzbekistan national who came to the United States seven years ago and possessed a green card through the program.
