Trump Trolls White House Plan for Raising Fence to Keep Jumpers Out

The White House has seen several fence jumpers in recent months, and it has prompted the Secret Service to raise the height of the perimeter fence to avoid future security breaches. Of course, this was bound to attract the attention of Donald Trump, who found it a perfect chance to boast about how right he is to call for the construction of barriers to protect the country.

“President Obama understands that you build strong, tall, beautiful walls to keep people out who don’t belong,” Trump wrote on Facebook with a link to NBC Washington. “People who get permission can enter the White House LEGALLY!”

Trump of course is making reference to his proposed plan to build a wall across the southern border to keep out illegal immigrants and have — say it with me — Mexico cover the bill.

Secret Service official Tom Dougherty said in a briefing yesterday that the current fence has proven insufficient, and it will be raising the fence from 6 feet to 11, while adding a new concrete foundation and other anti-climber deterrents.
