President Donald Trump tweeted out the words of two Fox newsers Friday night to prove how great of a job he has done with Puerto Rico and to paint the local governments on the island as “corrupt.”
“The story of Puerto Rico is the rebuilding that has occurred. The President has done an extraordinary job of cleanup, rebuilding electrical stuff and everything else,” Trump quoted Fox Business Political analyst Ed Rollins as saying.

He then included Fox Business Lou Dobb‘s response slamming the “corrupt” Puerto Rican governments: “The people of Puerto Rico have one of the most corrupt governments in our country.”
Trump’s tweet comes a little more than an hour after the conversation aired on Fox News.
“Puerto Rico went through a tragedy. It would have been far worse if this president had not put the military in there, FEMA in there for a longer period of time than for any other hurricane that I’m aware of,” Dobbs said during that conversation.
That prompted Rollins to reply: “The story of Puerto Rico is the rebuilding that has occurred. You don’t control the president or hurricanes…The president has done an extraordinary job in his operation FEMA and elsewhere going in there and rebuilding an island. rebuilding an electrical structure and everything else.”
Dobbs then added in the segment where Trump found his quotes: “The people of Puerto Rico have got to the acknowledge they have one of the most, I think, one of the most corrupt state governments and local governments in San Juan of any part of this country. It is stunning what they have had to put up with.”
