Trump’s Rage Interview on Fox & Friends Floors Twitter: ‘What The F*ck is This?’

Donald Trump concluded an interview with Fox & Friends a short time ago, and the general consensus on Twitter is that went the president went completely off the rails.
Trump spent most of the interview shouting over his interviewees and lashing out at James Comey, the media, Democrats, the Robert Mueller investigation, and a laundry list of his other enemies. Even though his Fox News hosts tried to rein him in somewhat, Trump still managed to go full throttle, and he more or less transformed the interview into an over-the-phone version of one of his campaign rallies.
The president broke a lot of news in the interview, and the good reporters on Twitter scrambled to analyze his commentary and fact-check it however they can. But by and large, most agreed that the president was unshackled and unleashed:
Trump on Cohen during Fox & Friends interview “tiny tiny fraction of my legal work..”
Cohen has been Trump’s fixer for over a decade.
Stop with the “Trump is loyal” BS…no he’s not. pic.twitter.com/wM3qycLIWN— Tara Setmayer (@TaraSetmayer) April 26, 2018

It feels like that Fox & Friends interview will end up quoted in multiple legal proceedings.

Thank you @foxandfriends for having Mr. Trump on this morning to discuss Michael Cohen and our case. Very informative.

Trump is simultaneously complaining that cable news panels have too many anti-Trump voices and critiquing @chucktodd in derogatory terms AND claiming he doesn’t watch cable news.

Now you know why his legal team would rather sacrifice their children to Baal than let Trump speak to Mueller.

Fox wraps up interview with the president of the United States as he was essentially shouting on the phone. Didn’t sound like he wanted to end the call.

I’ve known comedians who have done cocaine and stayed up all night and they sounded just like trump on fox & friends

I have seen three year olds on a sugar high give more coherent accounts of their actions than Trump just now.

I think we can agree it would be a good thing for President Trump to face a tougher interview than Fox and Friends, but at the same time it’s remarkable how much he volunteers without even really being pressed or prompted https://t.co/55lU9YQb5x

What the fuck is this interview

I don’t think anyone has fully grasped how much worse this could all get. https://t.co/wvxmYINwfX

“I’m not your doctor, Mr. President, but I’d recommend that you watch less of them.” That is an all-time Kilmeade quote. https://t.co/eEkzSAPig5

If you want to be reassured that the United States is in the hands of a sane, stable, and definitely not unhinged leader — don’t watch Trump’s shouty interview on Fox & Friends this morning.

That section of the Fox and Friends interview where Trump is yelling into the phone about the Mueller investigation is absolutely remarkable.
— Philip Bump (@pbump) April 26, 2018
The Fox & Friends panel breaks off the interview, saying they’d love to keep talking all morning, but they’re sure Trump has work to do.
