TV Anchor Punched in the Face by Someone Ranting About ‘Conspiracy’
A Telemundo anchor was confronted outside his California studio and punched in the face by a man who was ranting about media conspiracies. Andres Herrera and his wife Candy Caceres were walking to the building when a random man stopped them to ask Herrera if he worked at KGET.
Herrera said yes. The man then punched him right in the face.
Herrera and his wife chased after the man and called 911. Herrera said when he asked the guy why he randomly punched him, the man said, “You guys are all part of the conspiracy. You’ve got all those antennas, and dishes.”
Police ended up arresting the attacker, Jason Aydelotte, who has prior convictions for vandalism and resisting or obstructing a police officer.
Aydelotte had also made threats against the news station, and KGET employees said there’s been another man near the station making threats.
