On Tuesday, a freight train in Baltimore derailed following a collision, which then resulted in an explosion. Incredible new surveillance video shows the exact moment the train and truck crash — quick, but dramatic.
The video was provided by Mike Tobias, who owns Eastern Truck and Trailer, a trucking company located near the tracks where the accident occurred. Tobias’ surveillance cameras captured the moments of both the collision (first video below) and the following explosion (second video below).
WBAL News reported that investigators said the train conductor sounded three warnings while approaching the truck, which was going 40 mph. At the end of the second video, the explosion knocks the camera out of its position.
