WATCH: Grown Man Shamelessly Robs Child of Tennis Star’s Hat at US Open
A grown man has gone viral after being filmed snatching a hat Polish tennis star Kamil Majchrzak gave to a kid in the stands at the US Open.
In video that quickly spread on social media, a man in the stands at the US Open can be seen swiping a hat that Majchrzak gave to a kid following his victory over Karen Khachanov. Majchrzak is seen signing autographs for fans and after giving the hat to the kid, the man snatches it and quickly hides it in a bag. The man ignores the child afterward and asks Majchrzak for an autograph.
The tennis star did not notice the theft, but later took to social media to address it and attempt to identify the kid he originally gave his hat to.
“After the match I didn’t record that my cap didn’t get to the boy,” he posted to Instagram.
Majchrzak later said the boy had been identified.
“I am impressed by the power of the internet. We got it! All good now,” he wrote.
Social media users quickly put the thief on blast.
