WATCH: Intense Video Captures Gunfire Between Cops and Bank Robbers

An intense new video captures a shootout between Stockton, California police and criminals after a high-speed chase following a bank robbery. The shootout left three people, all of them in the robbers’ car, dead. According to the L.A. Times, the robbers were using hostages as human shields, and threw one of the hostages in the car with them.

The police chase lasted for about an hour, and ended with a shootout between the cops and robbers. The robbers reportedly had an AK-47 and other weapons on them.

In the end, three people died: two of the robbers, and Misty Holt Singh, the hostage they had in the car. And even more horribly, the third suspect survived because “he used Singh as a shield against officers’ bullets.”
