Officials from the city of Ferguson, Mo., will hold a news conference on Wednesday afternoon to address the Department of Justice report clearing Officer Darren Wilson of civil rights charges in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
“There is no evidence upon which prosecutors can rely to disprove Wilson’s stated subjective belief that he feared for his safety,” the report states, according to ABC News.
The DOJ report did find, however, that the Ferguson police have a history of sending racially-charged emails and acting in a discriminatory fashion towards black residents.
