WATCH: Mitt Romney Heckled Russell Westbrook at the Utah Jazz Game and Twitter Had a Field Day

On Saturday, Mitt Romney lost a vote among delegates at Utah’s GOP Convention — meaning he’ll have to secure his party’s nomination for Senate in a primary election in June. Monday night, he took his apparent frustration out on an NBA star.

The former Massachusetts Governor was courtside in Salt Lake City, Monday night, for the Utah Jazz-Oklahoma City Thunder game. Late in the first half, Russell Westbrook — the Thunder’s star player — picked up his fourth personal foul. (For those unfamiliar with basketball, this is highly unusual. A player is ejected from the game after his sixth foul. Coaches often bench key players after they draw their third foul in the first half of play.)

Romney was visibly fired up about Westbook’s foul trouble. And as the Oklahoma City star made his way to the bench, the Senate candidate cheered, and held up four fingers in Westbrook’s direction.

“That’s four!” Romney could be seen mouthing.

Twitter absolutely cracked up — with many people quick to point out that Romney similarly rooted for the Boston Celtics back when he was Governor of Massachusetts. Here’s a sampling of the reaction:
