WATCH: The Eagles’ Pre-Game Tailgate Was a Violent, Bloody Mess

The Philadelphia Eagles punched their ticket to the Super Bowl on Sunday by defeating the Minnesota Vikings — and the City of Brotherly Love was in high spirits as a result. (Except, of course, for this one guy — who had a really unfortunate meeting with a subway column)
But before the game, spirits, apparently, were not nearly as high — although they seemed to be plentiful.
A pair of videos depicted a violent, chaotic scene during the pre-game tailgate outside Lincoln Financial Field. The first one (via The Big Lead) showed Eagle-on-Eagle violence — with a bunch of green-clad fans wailing away at each other with varying degrees of effectiveness.

The second, via NJ.com, showed a fan with his shirt off and a bloodied face being shoved away from a skirmish by a police officer. NJ.com reports that the fight involved police officers and Eagles fans. Officers on horseback were called in to break up the tussle.
Fortunately, such a scene is unlikely to be repeated on Super Bowl Sunday — if only because the current game-day forecast in Minneapolis calls for single digits.
