Watch This ESPN Personality Deliver an On Air Report While Choking on a Bug
How did this guy almost manage to keep it together?
Delivering a report on SportsCenter Wednesday night live from San Antonio in advance of the Spurs-Rockets NBA playoff game, ESPN’s Michael Eaves began to sound raspy while speaking for an extended period.
It turned out there was a good reason.
“I’m literally choking on a bug… Can you believe that?” Eaves said. “National television. I’m choking on a bug.”
Eaves then appeared to gather himself for a moment.
“Who chokes on a bug inside?” Eaves said.
Anchoring from the studio, Lisa Kerney pressed on and tried to keep the segment going. But Eaves began coughing once again, and Kerney let him go.
Still, it was a valiant try from Eaves.
