Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will hold a briefing today to discuss the White House’s latest plans and administrative agenda.
Today’s briefing is likely to focus on President Trump’s signing of an executive order that works to dismantle the Affordable Care Act. Congress failed multiple times at repealing Obamacare over the last several months, and Trump spoke earlier today about how the bill will supposedly allow the White House to develop a policy to increase health care competition and quality while lowering prices.
Another subject which might come up is the president’s feud with professional athletes who kneel during the national anthem. The matter was a prominent part of Trump’s discussion with Fox News’s Sean Hannity last night, and he said the NFL mishandled the controversy by allowing Colin Kaepernick to take a knee and go unpunished. Trump has claimed victory due to the news that the NFL is reviewing their policy on this matter, though commissioner Roger Goodell hasn’t gone that far yet.
