When Asked About Politics, Betty White Says Just Do Your Best In Your Own ‘Little Circle’
Yesterday was actress Betty White‘s birthday and in a chat with Katie Couric,the 95-year-old was asked about the divided country.
White noted that yes, the country is divided, but complaining won’t help.
“I think that’s the time to buckle down and really work positively as much as you can instead of just saying, ‘This is terrible. He’s terrible.’ Just think, ‘All right, there’s nothing I can do about that right now but I can do the best in my little circle. So if I do that, maybe you’ll do your best and we’ll get through this.”
Couric talked about the negativity that comes from all sides — even from Donald Trump himself and spats on social media — and asked if White agreed it’s all “toxic.”
“It does,” said the icon. “It really does.”
