White House Demurs On Ground Zero Mosque, Won’t ‘Readjudicate’ A Local Issue

During today’s White House press briefing, Huffington Posts’ Sam Stein asked Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton why the White House has been reluctant to offer an opinion on the Ground Zero mosque; an issue which Stein presented as “a consuming religious and cultural debate going on.” Burton said that the White House is not going to “readjudicate” a decision made by a “local government.” Cue outraged comparisons to the Arizona immigration law by right-of-center outlets in 3…2…1…
