White House Releases Statement Asking People to Just Leave Barron Trump Alone
There’s a longstanding political rule that children are off-limits in politics. A few recent comments about Barron Trump, however, led to a White House statement today reminding everyone of that fact.
Most notably, a tweet from an SNL writer joking about the 10-year-old Trump being America’s “first homeschool shooter” (which she apologized for) led to her being suspended from the show.
A lot of commentators have agreed that the young Trump doesn’t deserve getting mockery and scorn like that, including one person who understands that more than most: Chelsea Clinton.
The following White House statement out this afternoon says they appreciate people’s cooperation in leaving the young Trump alone:
