You Know Who Doesn’t Think Ted Cruz’s Soup Obsession Is Weird? Campbell’s Soup, That’s Who
This warrants its own separate post.
So, earlier this afternoon, I told you about Ted Cruz buying 100 cans of soup, his wife Heidi Cruz, retelling the story like it was NBD, and Trevor Noah demonstrating that yeah, the anecdote was as batty as we all thought.
As far as Campbell’s Soup is concerned, though, there is no battiness. Nope! No battiness whatsoever. Gawker reached out for comment and was told that they asked “great questions.” Then, Thomas Hushen, one of their representatives, said, “We think at least 100 cans of soup is a great idea.”
Sure, that’s not surprising, since it brings in money for them, but surely Hushen knows that 100 cans is a little excessive.
