WINNER: Michael J. Knowles
The author of Reasons to Vote for Democrats: A Comprehensive Guide was given free advertising from the pinnacle of social media pulpits: President Trump’s Twitter account. Trump’s Monday morning pitch, “A great book for your reading enjoyment,” has already helped boost the book back up Amazon and other bestseller lists despite the fact the 266-page gag gift contains no actual words.
LOSER: Alex Jones
A custody battle between the InfoWars host and his ex-wife has created more than a conspiracy theory as the two sets of lawyers seek to establish if Alex Jones is pure shtick. A pre-trial custody hearing saw his lawyer labeling Jones a “performance artist” and that he is “playing a character.” His attorney, Randall Wilhite, argued that using Jones’ on-air persona to judge whether he’s a capable father would be like saying Jack Nicholson should be judged by his role as The Joker. Begging the question: Who IS the real Alex Jones?
