Man Who Breached Capitol Served as a Translator for Lauren Boebert and Other House Republicans During Trip to Border: CNN

Capitol breacher Anthony Aguero, an ally of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), joined several of her House Republicans at the southern border on Tuesday night. Greene herself was not present.

The day after the January 6 Capitol riot, Aguero posted a video in which he stated, “We were all there. It was not Antifa and it was not BLM. It was Trump supporters that did that yesterday. I’m the first to admit it, being one myself.”

Aguero has not been charged in connection with the riot.

CNN’s K-FILE flagged photos and videos of Aguero with Republican members of Congress as the group watched migrants – many of them children – come across the border. Aguero spoke with Reps. Lauren Boebert (CO), Madison Cawthorn (NC), Michael Cloud (TX), Ronny Jackson (TX), Mary Miller (IL) John Rose (TN), and Tom Tiffany (WI).

K-FILE’s Andrew Kaczynski said that Aguero was serving as a translator between members and migrants. Aguero also live-streamed much of the experience.

In video of the January 6 riot, Aguero can be heard chanting, “Heave ho! ” as rioters attempted to breach the Capitol.

Aguero can be seen in this photo posted by Miller, to Miller’s left:

The House members at the border Tuesday are members of the Republican Study Committee, a conservative caucus within the GOP conference. Caucus chairman Jim Banks (R-IN) told Kaczynski that he did not know who Aguero was, and that he did not travel with the group to the border.
