Biden Hits Back at Trump Claiming He’s Behind Trials: ‘His Lack of Ethics Has Nothing To Do With Me’

President Joe Biden spoke to Nexstar correspondent Reshad Hudson on Tuesday night for a one-on-one interview that covered everything from Trump’s historic criminal trial to ongoing inflation fears.
Hudson asked Biden about Trump’s trial in New York. “He directly blames you, President Biden, as being responsible, behind those prosecutions. How do you respond to that?”
“His lack of ethics has nothing to do with me,” Biden shot back.
Trump has long claimed that his legal problems that stem from Trump’s actions during the 2016 presidential campaign are “Biden trials.”
“I don’t know how you can have a trial like this in the middle of an election, a presidential election. And this is again, this is a Biden trial. These are all Biden trials,” Trump said of the charges brought independently by New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
Hudson also asked Biden about inflation and the persistent concerns Americans have over the price of basic goods like eggs.
“Well, we’re working to get those prices down by making sure corporate profits are brought under control,” Biden replied.
Hudson also asked Biden about the pro-Palestinian protesters that greeted him as he campaigned in Scranton, Pennsylvania. “Well, I’ve been meeting with them number one, number two I’ve made it clear that we have to vastly increase the amount of food, water and healthcare going into Gaza,” Biden replied.
While in Scranton, Biden took aim at Trump and slammed the former president as elitist and out of touch with average Americans. “All I knew about people like Trump is that they looked down on us. They wouldn’t let us into their homes and their country clubs. When I look at the economy, I look at it through the eyes of Scranton, not through the eyes of Mar-a-Lago,” he said while campaigning.
