‘Elder Abuse!’ DOJ Official Floats ‘Criminal Charges’ for Jill Biden

A former Fox News host who is a senior counselor to the assistant attorney general for civil rights suggested that former First Lady Jill Biden could face criminal charges.
On Sunday, the office of Joe Biden revealed that the former president has a particularly aggressive form of prostate cancer. That disclosure has prompted speculation and conspiracy theories among conservatives who have suggested that Biden, his doctors, and his inner circle have known about the disease for some time. That includes President Donald Trump, who on Monday baselessly claimed that “somebody is not telling the facts.”
Hours earlier, Leo Terrell of the Department of Justice went so far as to suggest that Jill Biden should – or at least could – be prosecuted. Reposting a tweet from a conservative internet personality, Terrell wrote, “Elder Abuse! Criminal Charges??”
Despite his position in the DOJ, Terrell, a former Fox News contributor, has maintained an active social media account. On X in March, he retweeted a post in which Trump was quoted as saying that Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is “not Jewish anymore.”
“Trump has the ability to revoke someone’s Jew card,” the person Terrell retweeted wrote.
During Biden’s ill-fated reelection campaign, he was dogged by questions about his age and health. That was especially true after his lone debate last year with Trump when Biden turned in an awful performance where he infamously declared, “We finally beat Medicare.” In an upcoming book by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, the authors describe the lengths to which aides would go to conceal Biden’s cognitive troubles from others. Some staffers feared Biden might even need a wheelchair if reelected. Those concerns became moot after Biden withdrew from the race in July.
