Geraldo Rivera Slams Trump’s Gaza Proposal For ‘Utter Lack of Common Sense’ — Predicts Humans Inhabit Mars First

Geraldo Rivera

Geraldo Rivera slammed President Donald Trump’s plans for Gaza as anti-common sense and predicted the United States would have people on Mars before Trump’s plan could actually be accomplished.

Rivera took to X on Wednesday to blast former friend Trump and his declarations the day prior about Gaza. On Tuesday, Trump told reporters Palestinians have “no alternative” but to leave Gaza and he suggested the US could take it over and build up waterfront properties.

In his X post, Rivera argued Trump’s solution of Palestinians leaving Gaza is ludicrous because there is nowhere for them to go.

He wrote:

President Trump’s explosive musing on the future of the Gaza Strip is a lot of things: dramatic, bold, historic. it is also breathtaking in its utter lack of common sense, and recognition of the human rights of the people who already live there, the Palestinian.

Where will they go? Stateless, unemployed, resentful, which other nation would risk its own stability to absorb 1.5 million hungry, frustrated, angry, heavily armed refugees? Canada? South Dakota? Africa? Shaky Egypt doesn’t want them. Newly Islamist Syria will never accept them, and Israel would of course refuse to re-settle their blood enemies on the West Bank.

Rivera said Trump wants to turn Gaza into a “New Vegas” or Atlantic City, but people will likely be living on Mars before that actually happens.

“I predict the United States will have a viable habitation on the planet Mars before Gaza is rebuilt as an inclusive, idyllic sea front New Vegas or Atlantic City of the eastern Mediterranean,” he wrote. “Gaza is where dreams of peace and prosperity go to die.”

The former Fox News contributor also asked whether Trump’s plans align in any way with past Republican promises of a “two state solution.”

“And by the way, what happened to official US policy calling for a 2- State solution?” Rivera wrote. “Has the United States now abandoned our long-held goal of two states for two people?”
