Gutfeld Lauds Biden’s ‘Strong Speech’ Against Hamas: ‘I Give Him Props’
Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld said President Joe Biden gave a “strong speech” from the White House where he vowed the U.S. will “stand with Israel” in the war against Hamas, the terror group that launched a surprise and brutal attack against civilians Saturday.
“I will say that I thought it was a strong speech,” Gutfeld said on Tuesday’s The Five. “You can get petty about the words, I guess, but there is a lot of problems with this administration. That wasn’t a problem.” He continued:
My bar is very low for Joe Biden. I was relieved he didn’t compare the attack with a fire in the kitchen, so that was good. That’s a win in my book. However, it’s not like I was fortified or empowered by it because, I guess, it’s just words right now and I’m waiting for the deeds.
Gutfeld then turned his attention to the U.S. southern border with Mexico.
“I think that right now, we have to talk about our vulnerability, right? Our immediate threat. And we have one, it’s called the southern border and it’s unprotected,” Gutfeld said. “And it would’ve been nice for him to say we are going to treat it like we did with Covid, right? We have to close the border, we gotta get troops down there. We have to treat this as a serious threat to the United States.
“I feel that right now we’re dealing with a leadership deficit…I feel like we’re in a hole, leadership-wise, and I don’t think we can pretend that we are in a good place right now.”
He added, “I give him props for unequivocally being on the side of Israel, but those are the words. I want to see the deeds.”
