Marjorie Taylor Greene Rips ‘Nasty Commies From California’ In Wild Review of Curb Your Enthusiasm

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) recently added author to her list of credits after publishing MTG through Donald Trump Jr.’s publishing company, and now it appears she’s adding TV critic to that growing list too.
In a lengthy Tuesday post to X, formerly Twitter, the Georgia congresswoman touched on everything from Georgia’s tax credits to film and TV productions to George Soros to “nasty commies from California” migrating their way to the red state of Georgia. What set Greene off was the latest episode of Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, the long-running HBO comedy that is currently airing its 12th and last season.
Greene called the latest episode a “glaring reminder of why most Georgian’s resent Republicans in our state for inviting the nasty commies from California, the Hollywood elites, into our state by dishing out Hollywood tax credits.”
Georgia offers more appealing tax credits to productions than most other states. Shows like The Walking Dead and numerous independent productions have flocked to Atlanta and elsewhere in the state.
The plotline of Curb that Greene is taking particular issue with is David, who portrays a version of himself, finding himself in legal trouble after offering some water to a Georgia woman standing in line to vote. In the show, David’s arrest becomes big news and there’s even a cameo from former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
The Georgia Election Integrity Act was signed into law in 2021 and prohibits food or water being distributed to voters waiting to cast their ballots. The provision is just one piece to the legislation, which supporters touted as increasing the security of ballots and drop boxes at polling locations.
“This week’s episode lied and painted GA conservatives and Trump supporters as racists and red necks and made fun of our good new law that stops the Stacey Abrams vote pandering machine and prevents voter fraud,” Greene wrote in her review. “We in Georgia are fed up with disgusting Hollywood and their disgusting values and elite judgement in our state that is trying to turn GA blue!”
Greene then turned to support being given to electric vehicle companies, dropping her Larry David complaints. She ended her rant by declaring that more must be done to “protect” Georgia from the previously mentioned “nasty commies from California” and D.C. politicians.
“Take it from me, as I fight against Democrats in Washington and their radical, evil, and America last policies I can tell you first hand that we in Georgia need to step and do more to PROTECT GEORGIA!!” she wrote.
