Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said the dangerous “swatting” trend that targeted her on Christmas has also targeted her two daughters.

She posted to X on Thursday, “Both my daughter’s [sic] houses just got swatted today. Big thanks to the police who responded! We appreciate you and support you! Whoever is doing this, you are going to get caught and it won’t be funny to you anymore,” and then tagged the FBI’s account.

According to Forbes, swatting “typically involves a prank caller who falsely reports a violent crime to police with the goal of getting heavily-armed SWAT teams to respond to someone’s home.” The practice has led to injuries and at least two fatalities nationwide, according to NBC News.

Greene’s Georgia home was targeted on Christmas Day, prompting her to post to X:

“This is like the 8th time. On Christmas with my family here. My local police are the GREATEST and shouldn’t have to deal with this. I appreciate them so much and my family and I are in joyous spirits celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!”

As she mentioned, the Georgia congresswoman has been swatted several times. Forbes detailed the police report from one of those incidents:

According to a Rome Police Department report, police officers responded to a 911 call on Wednesday at 01:03 a.m. that led them to initially believe a man who had been shot multiple times was in the bathtub at Greene’s home. The caller also stated there was a woman inside the home and possibly children with her. When officers arrived, Greene assured them there was no issue at the home.

“After we cleared the call and went back in service, Rome-Floyd 911 received a call from the suspect, claiming responsibility for the incident and explaining his/her motives,” the report stated. “It was a computer generated voice. They explained they were upset about Ms. Greene’s stance on ‘trans-gender youth’s rights,’ and stated they were trying to ‘swat’ her.”

GOP lawmakers Rep. Brandon Williams (R-NY) and Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) have also reported swatting incidents in recent days.

According to NBC News, “The FBI has formed a national database to track and prevent ‘swatting.'”
