Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Boyfriend Threatens to Primary Republican Who Called Trump’s Bill ‘Morally and Fiscally Bankrupt’
Pro-MAGA White House Correspondent Brian Glenn, who is also dating Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), raised the prospect on Thursday of primarying a House Republican who has opposed President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful’ bill.
Glenn joined Real America’s Voice’s morning show, America Sunrise, and blasted the GOP holdouts on Tuesday who delayed the bill from passing. “And these people that want to grandstand on their personal issues, that’s on them. Oh, by the way, you can add Keith Self to that. I think Keith Self was only concerned about his self in all of this,” Glenn fumed, adding:
But hopefully he will turn. By the way, that is my congressman in Texas and I sure would hope, would not want to throw my hat in the ring there to primary Mr. Keith Self there in 2026. Not saying I’m going to do that, but I’m just saying–
“Ohhhhhh. Do we just hear an announcement? Listen to that,” jumped in host Gina Loudon.
Glenn clarified, “I’m just saying, I would want him to represent the people of House District 3 there in Texas, and I think that he will at the end of the day do what’s right.”
Glenn also posted on X about a possible primary challenge to Self, leaving the door a bit more open, writing, “Wow, for a hot minute there last night I thought I’d be forced to run in TX-3 and challenge Keith Self after his initial ‘no vote’ on the BBB.”
“I wonder if I would get any significant endorsements?” he added, potentially hinting at either Taylor Greene or President Trump, who Glenn regularly throws softball questions to while covering the White House.
Glenn ended his post, simply writing, “2026.”
Self has pulled no punches in hammering the version of the sweeping tax and spending bill that passed the Senate earlier in the week. “The Senate’s version of the BBB is morally and fiscally bankrupt. We must get back closer to the House-passed version,” wrote the conservative Texan on X.
