Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign announced that she will deliver remarks a 10 AM Wednesday morning, in Charleston, South Carolina. The event was previously unplanned and fuels speculation that she will suspend her campaign following a lackluster Super Tuesday result.

USA Today’s Francesca Chambers wrote on X:

Haley’s campaign reacted to her Super Tuesday defeat by arguing that it showed “a large block” of Republicans still had “deep concerns” about former President Donald Trump.

After Haley lost every primary on Tuesday, with the exception of Vermont, campaign spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas said:

We’re honored to have received the support of millions of Americans across the country today, including in Vermont where Nikki became the first Republican woman to win two presidential primary contests. Unity is not achieved by simply claiming “we’re united.” Today, in state after state, there remains a large block of Republican primary voters who are expressing deep concerns about Donald Trump. That is not the unity our party needs for success. Addressing those voters’ concerns will make the Republican Party and America better.

The campaign did not say whether Haley intended to remain in the race.

Unlike Trump, Haley did not deliver a speech on Tuesday evening, nor did she respond to the results of the primaries on her personal Twitter account.

During an interview with Mark Levin on Tuesday, Trump called Haley “a very angry person” and claimed she had “gone crazy.”

“She’s become really angry, and I think it’s that she’s just getting nowhere,” said Trump. “She’s gone haywire.”
