‘One for Our Side!’ Michael Moore Takes a Victory Lap After Trump Verdict — But Adds Dems Have ‘Some Explaining To Do’

Michael Moore chalked up Donald Trump’s conviction in his hush money trial as “one for us,” but the filmmaker was sure to specify that Democrats are not part of the “us” he was referring to.
On the Monday episode of his Rumble podcast, Moore discuss Trump’s conviction on more than 30 felony counts related to falsifying business records and offered thank yous to ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen and adult film actress Stormy Daniels, both of whom testified against the former president.
“In some weird and crazy way, thank you Stormy Daniels, thank you Michael Cohen, and thank you jury for so rightly believing that, yes, even though somebody might have been a pornstar or even a worse thing, somebody that decided to have sex with Donald Trump, no judgement. It’s a free country. You’re a consenting adult. Michael Cohen, you once said you’d take a bullet for Trump, but this jury believed you,” he said.
Moore accused Trump of going “crazy” with his accusations that the trial was politically motivated. The former president continues to deny any wrongdoing.
“Every once in a while, the system works. The wheels turn in the right direction,” Moore said about the guilty verdict.
The filmmaker continued his victory lap, but made sure to note include Democrats in the win, saying they have “some explaining to do.”
Moore has been critical of President Joe Biden’s support of Israel amid their strikes on Gaza, which have led to thousands of civilian deaths. Moore has backed calls for a ceasefire and warned Biden could lose if he does not change his policy. Moore helped organize an effort in Michigan where more than 100,000 voted “uncommitted” in the Democratic Party primary.
“One for our side. And of course our side, we’re not talking about the Democrats here who’ve got some explaining to do,” he said. “We’re just talking about our side being human beings on this Earth who believe in right and wrong, who believe in justice, and who believe even a fake rich person can’t just get away with anything.”
