Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) called fellow Texas Republican Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) a “major pain in the ass” on Wednesday and suggested he could use a military-style beatdown.

During an event for Rep. Mike Bost (R-IL), Jackson was reportedly asked for this thoughts on rumors that Roy might try to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA).

According to KSDK News political editor Mark Maxwell, Jackson replied, “I love Chip Roy, but Chip Roy is a major pain in the ass for all of us a few times,” before reportedly suggesting that Roy could use the type of military “code red” beatdown used in the 1992 movie A Few Good Men.

In A Few Good Men, a “code red” beating ordered by the villainous Colonel Jessup results in the murder of a Marine.

Roy reacted to Jackson’s remarks, calling the congressman “a good friend” and claiming, “I’ve been called far worse.”

He added, “I take it as a compliment! Onward.”

Jackson shared Roy’s statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Last month, Roy refused to rule out trying to oust Johnson from his position as speaker of the House over a government spending bill.

“That’s not the road I prefer,” Roy told CNN host Kaitlan Collins. “You know, we’ve gone down that road. I didn’t prefer to go down that road with Speaker McCarthy. We need to figure out how to get this all done together. But it isn’t good and there’s a lot of my colleagues who are pretty frustrated about it. So, we’ll see what happens this week.”
