Former President Donald Trump claimed moderator Megyn Kelly was “the biggest loser” of NewsNation’s GOP primary debate this week and declared Vivek Ramaswamy the winner “because he thinks I’m great.”
Trump finally weighed in on Wednesday’s debate in a Truth Social post, Friday, where he lashed out at every candidate on stage except Ramaswamy.
“So many people are asking what I thought of history’s lowest rated ‘presidential’ debate, & how would I rate the players,” wrote Trump. “It’s so easy to be a critic, but who on this subject would be better than me.”
He continued:
To begin with, I thought Ron DeSanctimonious was terrible, with his bobble head facial movements & his walking on eggs, but that Sloppy Chris Christie was worse. He’s not fit, mentally or physically, to be President plus, he suffers from TDS, or Trump Derangement Syndrome, at levels not seen before. In other words, he is a “sick puppy.” On top of it all, his poll numbers are just 1%, in a class with “Aida” Hutchinson. He’s dead, but so is Ron, whose weird bobbing head and fresh mouth, make his high heels look good – He’s walking on eggs! Birdbrain looked different & lost, but I give her second place. Vivek WINS because he thinks l’m great.
Trump then took aim at Kelly, concluding, “The biggest loser was Megyn Kelly, what the hell happened to her? She has lost whatever she once had, which wasn’t very much. Some things never change!”
Kelly has had a rocky relationship with Trump since the 2016 Republican primary debates, when she asked him a question about his comments on various women. At the time, Trump repeatedly lashed out at Kelly during the 2016 election in response to her question.
While Trump agreed to sit down for an exclusive interview with Kelly in September, the former president quickly attacked her once again and accused her of being “nasty.”
Following the debate on Wednesday, Kelly said that while Trump appeared to have lost “multiple steps” mentally since 2016, she would still vote for him or whichever Republican candidate secured the party’s presidential nomination for 2024.
