Eric Trump and Bill de Blasio Get in Ugly Spat: ‘City Has Gone to Sh*t Under Your Leadership’

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio continued his public feud with first-son Eric Trump over the city’s new Green New Deal initiative, which has specifically targetted the Trump Organization for their “failure to cut emissions” at a number of their properties.
“Spare me. You and your dad have spent decades evading taxes and stiffing your workers,” de Blasio tweeted in response to the Trump Organization’s executive vice president, who accused the mayor of abusing power in going after the President Donald Trump‘s companies “for his own political gain.”
“NYC’s Green New Deal is one law the Trumps won’t get away with breaking,” the mayor added. “Fix your buildings or pay the price.”

The first-son was quick to publish a response calling out de Blasio for making New York go “to shit under your leadership.”
“Spare me? First you have never created a job in your life,” Eric Trump wrote. “Second, our great city has gone to shit under your leadership. Crime is up, the men & women of the NYPD detest you, homelessness is rampant, our streets are dirty and people are leaving our city in record numbers.

On Monday, de Blasio held an impromptu press conference at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, which is The Trump Organization’s headquarters, and announced the fees that the company will face for emissions at their properties. (de Blasio has said he was forced to hold the presser inside the building due to rain outside). The event was held as part of de Blasio’s carbon emission-reducing Green New Deal policy.
“The fact that the Mayor of a major city would attack an iconic organization (which employs thousands of hardworking New York taxpayers) for his own political gain is an abuse of power, unethical and simply counterintuitive,” Eric Trump tweeted yesterday.

(2/4) Most Mayors do all they can to support great businesses – here in NYC, businesses are attacked for headlines and “political points” and is this very mentality that is causing people to leave our great city in droves.
